A Bit About Me
I grew up in a very creative home in the west of Scotland and after studying at the Scottish College of Textiles, I settled in Fermanagh in the early 1990's. In 2009 I began my journey with Reiki which continues to be a lifelong learning. In 2016 I launched Crafting Your Soul - teaching creative workshops and in 2024 I developed my Soul Sessions. I now live in Florencecourt, close to the bog (which feels like my natural habitat) with my husband and our two dogs. Along with my Reiki practice I facilitate creative workshops in Fermanagh, Omagh, Cavan and Leitrim and am a UNESCO Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark Guide.

My Creative Self
I grew up in a creative home with parents who created clothes, music and musical instruments, paintings, wood carvings, embroideries and textile art. So my sister and I naturally became creative too. There were always materials lying around for us to create with. Being creative is like breathing for us. As I grew I noticed that when I wasn’t doing anything creative, my mental health would suffer and when my mood was low I found it really hard to motivate myself to begin a creative project.
With Crafting Your Soul I wanted to offer a space for creativity where everything is provided and the project is easily achievable to kickstart that creative process and encourage a creative practice to flow from the workshops.
My sister recently made me a picture with the quote:
Creative people don’t have a mess, they have ideas lying around everywhere!
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
In 2024 I decided to combine my healing work with the creative workshop and began my Soul Sessions, combining meditation, creativity and beautiful sound to help you step away and focus within.

My Journey with Reiki
From a young age people would come to me and tell me about the things they were finding hard. The tough stuff, their worries and fears. Somehow they instinctively knew I would listen, without judgment and give them space to speak and be heard, without repeating what they had told me. I felt honoured to be trusted with these conversations and was happy to help, but as a sensitive person I often took on the feelings of others, finding myself thinking about them long after we spoke.
When I discovered Reiki I found a method to support others, in a practical way, and a structure to support myself while doing the work I loved and felt called to do. When I work with Reiki I enter a sacred space where I direct source energy to the person. They can use the energy as they choose to transform or release anything they are ready to let go of. Physical, emotional and mental symptoms are a way of getting our attention that something is out of balance, that we are holding on to beliefs, thoughts or ideas that are not in alignment with our true purpose. When we release them we return to balance. I accept whatever is released and direct it into the earth, the great transformer. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
When I moved to my current home in Florencecourt I knew straight away it was a healing place. I set up my treatment room in 2011 and have been welcoming clients there ever since.
There is no age limit with Reiki. I have worked with babies a few days old, people preparing to leave their bodies after a long life and everyone in between. Each person I meet in my treatment room or in a distant Reiki session has something to teach me. When we work together with source energy we make a soul connection. It is through this connection that the work is done. It goes beyond the physical and yet it benefits all aspects of us as humans, because soul, mind and body are deeply connected.
